Report release: “What do we value? How values influence everyday behaviour”
The inaugural values report
We would like to thank everyone for their active engagement in the the release of our new report “What do we value? How values influence everyday behavior”. This is the first report released from The Values Project, a three year longitudinal study of the complex relations between people’s values and their behaviors. We held events in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, in collaboration with our partner Pureprofile, in early March to present some top line findings.
We would like to share some photographs of the event held at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery at the University of Western Australia.
Values Impact Forum
Thank you!
We would like to thank everyone for their active engagement in the inaugral Values Impact Forum. The Forum was not designed as a stand-alone event, but as a starting point for future work and collaboration. It was the first major event for the new Centre for Human and Cultural Values.
The sheer range of topics and number of presenters and participants from academia, education, non-profits, community, business and government attests to the pervasive impact of values in our world. This impact can only be understood by our collective efforts and thoughts on how values research can inform best practice to bring us closer to resolving important societal issues, such as the socialisation of children, the development and direction of public opinion, the promotion of philanthropy and the transformation of consumer behaviour.
Special thanks to the event photographer, the wonderful Dr Sheng Ye.
The Centre for Human and Cultural Values focuses on research and training in understanding and appreciation of the variety of human and cultural values and how they relate to big social issues in society.
